Claire Denholm
Claire has eighteen years’ experience in commercial marketing, covering senior roles in brand building, internal communications, international business development and strategic planning.
Claire's projects at HarknessKennett have included leading a series of cross-functional workshops for INVESCO Europe to involve senior managers in the planned organisational changes, and a pan-organisational review of communications strategy for Shelter. Previously, Claire was a founder Vice President of JustGive.org, the American online charity portal which won Forbes Magazine's 'Best of the Web' award in December 2001.
As Blockbuster's International Marketing Director in the late nineties, Claire oversaw 25 markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe and South America. Her remit included new channel feasibility, in-country launches, web development, database marketing and brand equity modelling. She also created and facilitated best-practice sharing seminars and events for local marketing specialists.
As Barnardo's first Head of Marketing, Claire was responsible for the external and internal brand-repositioning of the 120-year old charity as a modern-day childcare specialist agency. Prior to Barnardo's, she spent four years building the European arm of multimedia publisher Accolade, leading to its sale to Warner Music, and five years in the record and film industries including EMI, Paramount and Universal studios.
Claire has a degree in French from Oxford Brookes University, and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is also a Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and an Accredited Myers-Briggs consultant. Her flagship workshops include ‘Planning through People’, ‘Living the Brand’ and ‘Communicating for Productivity.
