Jane Mitchell
Jane has 13 years experience in corporate communications, specialising in her most recent roles in change communications and employee engagement. Her experience of operating both at board level and with people on the front line enables her to translate complex, high-level business strategy into meaningful and engaging communications for employees at all levels.
Prior to joining HarknessKennett, Jane worked for Shell International, developing and managing the delivery of a communications strategy for a 5 year global change programme. This involved engaging 5,000 employees in the globalisation and standardisation of the Finance division for the Downstream part of the Group.
Previously Jane spent four years at employee engagement consultancy Purple Works, where she worked with clients including Comet, the Co-operative Group, EMI Music, Lloyds TSB, Ordnance Survey, Sainsbury’s and Sport England. For Sainsbury’s she helped deliver a programme to engage shopfloor employees in improving customer service throughout nearly 500 stores around the UK. For the Co-operative Group she managed a number of highly interactive senior management conferences to engender support for strategic changes in the business.
Before joining Purple Works Jane managed corporate communications in Europe and North Africa for the US oil major Atlantic Richfield, delivering the whole spectrum of communications from media and community relations through to employee communications and crisis management.
