Keith Mainland
Keith has 18 years' consultancy experience in the areas of internal communication, change management and employee engagement. His most recent work has been with BT and a large UK Government Department.
Keith has assisted the leadership teams of the BT Finance and Retail Business Units to clarify and communicate their business strategies. In the Governement Department, he is facilitating performance improvements workshops at a leadership level and assisting the development of an internal resource to run a version of the WorkOutTM engagement process with frontline employees.
Keith is an Associate of Harkness Kennett, having become self-employed in 2001 to train as a UKCP accredited psychotherapist. Prior to this he was a Client Director at Smythe Dorward Lambert where he provided change management and communication support to the Astra Zeneca demerger in the US, BAT/Rothmans global merger and integration of the Life Assurance businesses at Zurich Insurance.
Previously, Keith was Communication Practice Leader at The Wyatt Company (now Watson Wyatt) and Towers Perrin. During this time he managed communication and change management programmes across the full spectrum of HR and organisational issues for clients such as Standard Life, Smithkline Beecham and Shell (Exploration and Production) in the UK, Nigeria and Oman.
In his early career, Keith was a Management Trainee with the retail motor-trade division of Sears Holdings and served in Geneva and Aden as a member of Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service.
Keith is currently completing the final project for his UKCP Accredited Diploma in Psychotherapy. He is accredited to use the Behavioural Science Systems Continuous Performance Improvement questionnaire and the ArgonautTM Intercultural assessment tool.
