Nicola Gallagher

Nicola is an internal communication specialist, with additional expertise in the area of event management. At HarknessKennett she has been involved in a wide range of projects including project managing a benchmark project for Abbey and conducting senior level interviews for a research project at Marks & Spencer. She has played a key consultancy role for clients including the Crown Prosecution Service, Vodafone, Defra and Which?

Prior to working with HarknessKennett, Nicola held the position of Events Producer at Melcrum Publishing – a research company specialising in the areas of strategic communication, human resources and knowledge management. Nicola was responsible for researching, designing and delivering one-day workshops and multi-day strategic summits for communication and human resource professionals.

Previously, Nicola worked for Prudential Assurance for 12 years, gaining 6 years experience in event management, and most recently 4 years experience of in-house internal communication management. As an account manager she offered in-house consultancy support to directors and their teams in 3 specific business areas: Risk and Compliance, Finance and Actuarial. Nicola supported these executive teams by developing communication strategies that met the identified business needs for both the business area and the UK as a whole. During this time Nicola also worked as part of a larger UK communication team and was responsible for additional projects across the UK. Significantly, she has managed the communications work stream for several organisational change programmes, and has led work on vision and values design and implementation.
