Nicola Dean
Nicola has over 15 years experience in a broad range of communications and marketing, including senior roles in internal communications, public affairs and change management.
Nicola’s clients with HarknessKennett have included CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), Vodafone and Defra. Previously, Nicola was Marketing and Communication Director for Carillion Services, a company offering management services for buildings, property development and car fleets. Her main role was to develop an internal and external communication strategy and offer a full marketing support service to the group and its different lines of business.
Prior to Carillion Services, Nicola was with Thales. Researching the company climate with internal and external stakeholders led to the creation of communication strategies which took into account the cultural differences required for successful delivery and implementation, at the same time bringing together resources in 4 countries spread across 3 continents.
From 1991 to 2001 Nicola worked for British Aerospace. In this role she led communication and change programmes and managed events for up to 500 people from the global audience.
A confident and persuasive communicator, Nicola earns credibility with board members and shop floor alike, using an inclusive style to relate and engage with all her audiences, regardless of background. She has focused on leadership and performance development and value-based behavioural change communication and management.
