A fixed term contractor to deliver transformation comms

Greene King is the country’s leading pub retailer and brewer, running over 2,700 pubs, restaurants and hotels across England, Wales and Scotland.

Sue joined as Head of Internal Communications in November 2020, during one of the toughest years the business has seen due to the pandemic.  Almost one year on, the company is delivering a wide-ranging transformation programme to inspire the workforce and ‘Unleash’ potential as the company strides to rebuild from the pandemic.

With a lean comms team, and a large-scale programme to deliver, including the Unleashed Festival for over 2,000 employees in October, Sue asked us to help her find a Transformation Communication Manager for a fixed term contract.

Hannah had exactly the right mix of strategic insight and a love of hands-on delivery that Sue was looking for.  Her consultancy background has given her strong stakeholder management skills, coupled with a really keen eye on deliverables. Sue now has an experienced, reliable extra pair of hands to help her deliver the transformation programme against short timescales and a background of ongoing disruption caused by the pandemic.

“I’ve worked with the team at HarknessKennett for many years – both as a client and a candidate. Whichever side of the recruitment process I’ve been on, I’ve found them to be responsive and straightforward, using their talent for making great hiring connections to get the right people in place fast.”
